Description

As therapeutic digital tools are developing at an increasing pace, it is important that this flourishing innovation is well managed, ensuring that digital tools are safe and effective for patients.

A working group led by NHS England, and including National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE), Public Health England, MedCity and DigitalHealth.London, is developing guidance and standards to address this issue. This aims to make it easier for innovators and commissioners to understand what 'good' looks like with respect to evidence for digital tools, and the needs of the NHS and patients.

Developing this framework will be a collaborative process, requiring input from innovators, commissioners and other stakeholders.

We would like to invite you to contribute your initial thoughts and help design this Evidence for Effectiveness framework. Following on from workshops in July which were focussed on the clinical effectiveness of innovations, this workshop will look at the economic impact.

Your input will be crucial in helping industry and researchers better understand the evidence they need to generate and in helping commissioners identify the evidence they should be looking for.

Please note this is an invitation to express interest. You will receive confirmation a week before the workshop, along with the agenda for the day.
